Rory McLean

Biography 

Rory started performing at 16 and has loved acting ever since. He joined Hipshot Youth Theatre in 2018 where he learned Musical Theatre, Pantomime, Improvisation, Song, as well as Contemporary Drama and Comedy. During his time at this class he performed at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr, in both original musicals Britain's Forgot Talent and The Walking Neds by Jerry Taylor.

Rory joined a youth theatre as there were no musical theatre or drama classes at his school at the time. Nevertheless pursued his ambition and earned a place at the University of the West of Scotland in a BA (Hons) performance course. Where he has now studied for 4 years.

During his time at UWS Rory fell in love with various forms of performance, branching out his skills. These included: Community theatre, Film, Voice over work, and Digital performance. He was also involved in productions of: Trainspotting, Dracula, and Square Go as part of his course. 

Rory pursues and invigorates his passion for performing by continuously seeking new realms of performance to learn and adapt to. And by moving between different mediums in which he can apply his talents.
